Giving up was the most natural option, but I want to share with you guys the ultimate guide that will help you not to give up on God.

5 things to do when you want to give up on God
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to refresh your mind on why you wanted to become a follower of Jesus Christ.
I sometimes know life is entirely overwhelming, where all you want to do is crawl into the bed and grab your bucket of ice cream and sit and wallow in depression.
Trust me, I’ve been there!
During those moments of crawling into bed, it was as if my problems were magnified, and my love for God faded, and I found myself angry at God for allowing these things to happen in my life.
To counterattack that pray and ask God to send a reminder on why you committed yourself to Jesus.
God didn’t promise us ” I will fill every day with sunshine and happy moments” but he promised always to send a rainbow at the end of every storm.
That rainbow is God’s reminder of his covenant, His promise that He made. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Tuck yourself into that promise that even when I want to give up on God, he will never give up and leave me.
As the Holy Spirit brings back, that memory rest in that memory.
You followed Jesus not to give up whenever the prison walls give in, but you followed Jesus because you need a savior!
And what a Savior He is!
Count the joy that comes with every battle because Christ is found at that moment — rescuing you, drawing you back to Him.

2. Praising God!
I know you’re like praise? I want to give up, why would I praise?
But, praising God despite your situation shows God that ” I am persevering even though I want to give up.” You’re not saying that this situation doesn’t hurt, in fact, in hurt like heck.
But you’re saying God, I know that you’re in the fire with me!
So I will praise you despite my situation.
Recite to yourself that -I will praise God even though I want to give up on Him, and through your praise, God is working behind the scene of your life and orchestrating things around for the greater good of you { Romans 8:28}!
How awesome, right?
When we praise God, blessings come down, and that blessing may be what you need to keep you going.
To keep you from giving up on God.
So whenever you want to give up on God, first try to praise His name!
Your outlook, your mood will instantly change.

3. Tuck yourself into Gods Word (Promises)
When you tuck yourself into the word of God, you’re tucking yourself into Jesus because Jesus is the word!
And what do we know about Jesus? He has the entire world in his hands!
Yes, that means he has your life, the problems you’re facing, the hurdles you’re crossing. He has that in his hands.
God’s hands represent security. I’m not talking about Paul Blart Mall Cop of security! Haha.
I am talking about you have the protection from God of the universe. That everything will be okay.
So don’t abandon Him. He’s saying, ” Cast your cares unto me,” place your care into my hand and rest in me.
Meditate upon God’s word, remind yourself of the promises that God has for you and your family.
That plan is to prosper you! Don’t give up on God, your closer to the promise than what you think.

4. Go for a walk
You’ll be amazed how a little walk will change your whole outlook on things.
Sometimes all we need is a little fresh air to recenter us. That fresh air will eliminate stress!
As you’re walking, place your mind on Him and think about all the tremendous beautiful things he has done for you.
Am I sure you can name at least three amazing things God has done for you today alone?
Just imagine when you go back in time and ask God for thoughts on why you surrendered.
Oh, boy!
I’m sure thoughts will come flooding in!

5. Remember, Gods, love for you!
When you want to give up on God, remember God’s reckless love for you. Yes, I sing that song to you!
Remember the thoughts he has towards you.
Remember how God left the 99 to find you, and when He found you.
God placed you around his neck. He was cheering with joy because He found His lost sheep!
When you want to give up on God, remember how much He loves you! That your devotion to Him is in reaction to His dedication towards you.
God’s love for you is so beautiful because as you contemplate leaving Him, God is wrapping his arms around you. He is singing tenderly, overly you.
Silencing the thoughts that invade your mind. Telling you to give up.
Yes, I know life is tough. As I write this, I write with convictions because life hasn’t always been easy for me but, when I think about how much God loves me, I realize how incomplete I’ll be if I abandon my first love.
So when you want to give up, tuck yourself into God’s love.
My goal was that by the end of this that you’ll be tucked into God. Giving up may seem like the best route, but this is a beautiful journey.
The race isn’t given to the swift nor the fastest. But to the ones who are choosing to endure till the end. Do you want to endure for Jesus?
You will face obstacles and roadblocks but, through Christ, all things become possible. Hang on a little longer.
You have God on your side. He’s your best friend.
Cling to Him.
